(If you would like to leave a KOHA: A koha is a Māori Custom when visitors give a gift to the tangata whenua(local people) for their stay and welcome on to the marae. Nowadays(cheques have been used), that can come in the form of money collected by visitors usually placed in an envelope on the floor of the wharenui(meeting house) by a speaker during the whaikorero (formal speeches) at the powhiri(welcome) on to the marae. Don't make the mistake of leaving your car keys (on the envelope) so the koha doesn't get blown away. It would be considered part of the koha.
